Dr. Éva Subasicz
attorney-at-law
She received her degree in 1994 with a cum laude qualification at the Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University.
During her attorney-at-law career, she had the opportunity to represent a foundation in the field of human rights at the Institute of Constitution and Law Philosophy, and also in specific cases concerning the protection of women’s and children’s rights, in court cases and out-of-court procedures, and to provide her practical knowledge to legislators and judges during which she had to take part in international conferences, give lectures and publish scientific papers. She also had the opportunity to obtain practise in criminal law as she was an attorney-at-law in criminal cases at the request of the Hungarian Helsinki Committee.
During her career she did most of her legal practise in the field of family law and she improved and developed her knowledge thereof further on. From 2005 she was engaged by central financial organs (government, museums) to represent them in lawsuits in the fields of labour law and civil law, as well as to represent them occasionally in out-of-court procedures. She also provided them legal advice and acted as a legal expert.
She was a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary.
Since 2006 she has been an elected officer of the Bar Association of Budapest, working as a secretary for the Bar Association.
She has always regarded helping NGOs’ work as a challenge in being an attorney-at-law, and now she is still paying close attention to the work of foundations and associations; she is a member of the Association of Hungarian Female Attorneys-at-Law and the Association of Women’s Career.
The Bar Association Budapest awarded her in November 2007 with an Eötvös Károly Award for her excellent work as an attorney-at-law.
